FAQ's
1. WHO WILL BE PHOTOGRAPHING MY WEDDING
David Chrystal will photograph all weddings. We only take on 1 wedding a day and we do not employ other photographers. Therefore you can be sure that the photography you see throughout the site is representative of our work.
2. WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE ILL ON THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING
This has not occurred since 2004, however we are covered by the SWPP, to provide a replacement to the professional standard.
3. HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS ARE TAKEN ON THE DAY
It does vary, but somewhere between 200 and 600, the variations mainly due to the length of time of ceremonies, the number of scenic locations and of course the weather. The package chosen has no real influence on the number of shots. We approach the photography in exactly the same way, whatever the package.
4. DO WE SEE ALL THE PHOTOGRAPHY FROM OUR WEDDING
All your photographs are subject to editing, this takes a lot of studio time but saves you a significant hassle. Hours can be lost wading through hundreds of similar images. Once the blinks and unflatering pictures are removed and a balance of stunning images are storybooked the final number is a more manageable amount. Usually between 150 and 200.
5. WHAT IF WE POSTPONE OUR WEDDING
We will accept a further booking with no further deposit required. This subject to availability and within 12 months of your original date. Please coordinate with us before booking the new venue.
6. HOW LONG DO YOU NEED FOR YOU PHOTOGRAPHS
David is extremely efficient and will take the minimum amount of time to get the best results. But we do advise on giving sufficient time between the ceremony and the reception to give you plenty of time with your guests as well as having those important memories captured for your album. We advise a minimum of 2 hours between the ceremony and reception to get the balance right, we normally take no more than 30 minutes for our photography at a scenic location. Clearly travel and second or third scenic locations will impact on your time.
7. WHEN WILL WE SEE OUR PHOTOGRAPHS
We start the editting process usually the night of the wedding. The priority is getting the selected images editted and sent for printing into the preview book. All this usually takes a week and if you have ordered a DVD Slide show this is designed at the same time.
8. HOW DO WE CHOOSE OUR PHOTOGRAPHS FOR THE ALBUM
The preview book is your main tool to achieve this, additionally images on a DVD or on the web can help. Further we give you a small instruction sheet and then book you into the diary to return and discuss your choices.
9. WHEN DO WE GET OUR ALBUM
Option 1 albums turn around in a week and the Option 2 Magazine album usually 3 to 4 weeks after you return the preview book.
10. WHEN DO MY IMAGES GET PUT ON THE WEB
We like you to see the images before we upload. However if you want to view your images whilst on honeymoon in Barbados, sipping an ice cold drink, let us know and we can arrange it.
